How Premium TMT Bars Are Manufactured at Mohit Ispat Private Limited

At Mohit Ispat Private Limited, every premium TMT Bar is manufactured through a fully integrated steel manufacturing process at our state-of-the-art facility in Bicholim, Goa. From raw material selection and billet manufacturing to thermo-mechanical treatment (TMT) and rigorous quality testing, every stage is monitored to deliver ISI-certified TMT Bars with superior strength, durability and consistent performance.

The manufacturing process begins with the careful selection of premium-quality Direct Reduced Iron (DRI/Sponge Iron) and high-grade steel scrap. Every incoming batch undergoes stringent quality inspection to ensure consistent chemical composition and optimum performance throughout the steel manufacturing process.

Raw materials are melted in advanced induction furnaces under precisely controlled conditions. State-of-the-art spectrometers continuously monitor the chemical composition, ensuring every heat complies with BIS quality standards before moving to the casting stage.

Refined molten steel is cast through a Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) to produce billets with exceptional metallurgical consistency, ensuring uniform quality for the rolling process.

Billets are reheated and rolled through multiple precision rolling stands to achieve the required diameter, dimensional accuracy, rib pattern and superior surface finish required for premium TMT reinforcement bars.


The Thermo-Mechanical Treatment (TMT) process gives our TMT Bars their exceptional combination of strength, ductility and durability.

Quenching

Rapid water cooling hardens the outer surface, forming a strong martensitic layer while retaining a ductile inner core.

Tempering

Heat from the core reheats the hardened outer layer, creating a tough tempered martensitic structure with superior strength.

Controlled Cooling

Controlled cooling transforms the core into a ductile ferrite-pearlite structure, providing the ideal balance of flexibility, toughness and long-term durability.

Every batch produced at Mohit Ispat undergoes rigorous testing in our in-house quality laboratory before being approved for dispatch. Only products meeting stringent quality standards are released to customers.
